This policy explains how the Google Play edition of Shut the Box by 3xQuest handles information. The game is provided by 3xQuest, operated by Alexandros Skoutkov, Germany. Contact: 3xquest@gmail.com.

Players of different ages

This game is intended for players aged 13 and over. All four game modes, all 20 puzzles and local progress are available regardless of the age answer. The game does not contain real-money betting, cash prizes or purchases of random rewards.

On first use, the Android edition asks for a day, month and year of birth, with an option to prefer not to answer. If you enter a date, the game processes it only on your device to determine whether you are 18 or older. The date fields are cleared after submission. The game does not store your date of birth or send it off your device. It stores only an age category: adult, under 18, or unknown when you choose not to answer.

Before an adult category is saved, and for players under 18 or of unknown age, the game does not start its Google Mobile Ads, User Messaging Platform or Google Play Billing services. It shows no ads and offers no purchase controls in these modes. Adult mode can use the advertising, consent and purchase services described below. These restrictions concern the game's services; Android, Google Play and any external app you choose to open have their own data practices.

The saved category stays on this installation. The game has no change-age control and does not automatically change the category on a later birthday. Clearing app storage removes the category along with other local game records.

Game progress stays on your device

You do not create a game account. Scores, unfinished rounds, puzzle progress, achievements, the Daily album and settings are stored locally. We do not operate a server that receives your game saves, and the game has no cloud save, in-game chat or online leaderboard.

The app also keeps local records used to limit advertising frequency and to remember a verified ad-removal purchase. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes these local records. It does not cancel or refund a Google Play purchase; restoration uses the Google Play account that made the purchase.

Advertising

In adult mode, the commercial edition can use Google AdMob to display ads between completed games or series, subject to applicable privacy choices. Google's advertising SDK can collect IP-based approximate location, advertising and other device identifiers, interactions with the app or ads, and diagnostic/performance information. Google and advertising partners use this information to deliver and measure ads and help prevent fraud. Google documents encrypted transport for these SDK data.

This edition does not request GPS location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or your address. It does not include a separate Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics integration. Advertising SDK diagnostics still apply when the adult advertising services are active.

Your privacy choices

In adult mode, Google's User Messaging Platform handles applicable privacy messages and consent choices. The app requests ads only when that service allows it. When available for your region, use Privacy choices in the game to review or change your choices. Android also provides advertising-ID controls. Declining personalised advertising does not necessarily stop every ad request or all processing needed to deliver limited ads. Players under 18 or of unknown age do not start this consent service and do not receive ads from the game.

Where the optional Remove ads product is available in adult mode, buying it stops the game's advertising requests and displays after ownership is verified. It does not delete information previously processed by Google or disable the Google Play purchase service in adult mode. Privacy-message processing may still occur for adults.

Purchases

Remove ads is not currently offered. If it becomes available through Google Play, it will be an optional one-time purchase for adult mode. It is not offered to players under 18 or of unknown age. We do not receive your card number or payment credentials. When the adult purchase service is used, the app receives purchase information, such as product, purchase state, purchase token and signed receipt, to verify ownership, acknowledge the transaction and restore the entitlement. The receipt and signature are kept in the app's private local storage; there is no developer-operated receipt server in this version.

Google Play processes transactions under its own terms and privacy policy. Its records are separate from local game progress. An internet connection and the relevant Google Play account may be required to buy or restore the purchase.

Sharing and contacting us

Sharing a Daily result is optional. It opens your device's sharing interface with the challenge date and score; you choose the destination and whether to send it. The game does not read your contacts or send messages automatically. The app or service you choose handles the shared text under its own policy.

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you send. We use that information to address your request and keep it only as needed for support and applicable legal obligations. Do not send payment credentials or passwords.

Retention, deletion and requests

Local game data stays until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. We cannot remotely recover or erase those local saves. Google's advertising and payment services apply their own retention rules and controls; removing the app does not automatically erase their records.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also contact your local data-protection authority. We cannot delete Google Play purchase records or act on Google's behalf.
